Challenge
This project’s goal is to create a publication on the subject of art in Montreal’s metro system. The challenge for this project is to create a dynamic layout system that keeps the audience entertained as well as informed.
Design Approach
Each metro line and a brief text on the history of the metro as a whole is separated into 5 booklets combined which are held together in a jacket made from cardstock.
The overall composition is inspired by a minimalistic dutch system which is evident in details like the eyebrows, titles and of course the way the history booklet is laid out.
Result
This 15 week project turned something that is not always recognized by Montrealers, into a showcase of the STM’s valuable artwork.
